Another Semester comes and goes...

Well I cant believe that another semester has come and gone! I looked at the calender today and I have 3 weeks till I header home! I am SOO excited to be Alberta BOUND and be able to be with my family for the whole summer and see old friends. School has been full of fun this semester. This last month me and one of my besties Chiloe have done many temple trips! We want to continue going to as many different temples as we can. I have really noticed the blessings in my life that the Lord has given me. I have had some tough decisions to make this semester and I know that I have been guided by the sprit as to what decision will be best for me and my future. I know the I need to rely heavily on the blessings of prayer right now in my life. I know that the Lord is always there for us and it makes me feel so secure that I can always turn to him.
I love being at BYU. The campus is gorgeous. I really need to take more pictures though.. I feel like I haven't taken any this semester... Except on Sunday, someone dropped my camera.. and now the lens is broken =(
I love my ward here at King Henry, and will be sad to not come back in the fall! But I am excited to live in the new complex!

Me and Chiloe after Church!

So the countdown is on for the next 3 weeks! I have so many things happening.
1. My 21st Birthday is in 2 weeks... YES I am freaking out. I don't want to be that old
2. Ward Camp out... I am not the fondest of sleeping outside..BUT I still love hiking and everything else that has to do with camping. I AM Super Excited!
3. FINALS.. My favorite time of the year
4. Then pops is coming and picking me up and we get to have a daddy/daughter drive all the way home!
5. Reunited with family and SAMMIE

AND I CANT FORGET CONFERENCE THIS WEEKEND!! I cant wait to hear talks that will be helpful in my life right now!

I Love to see the Temple... I'm going there some day

This past friday night me and Chiloe went to the Provo Temple to do baptisms. It was such a special experience to be there. With the busy pace of school every day, it is nice to get a break from the outside world. I love to be in the temple and feel the peace while I am there. I love the quote from Elder Wirthlin that says "Come what may and love it". I believe this talks about trials and differences in our life. We are meant to have trials to grow. Even though they are hard, the Lord only gives us trials we can handle. I love being at the temple and feeling the love from my Heavenly Father. I know that it helped me reevaluate my life and made me realize that the struggles that I go through only make me stronger. The Temple gives me clear answers and helps me with the decisions I need to make in my life right now. I know that this Gospel is true and I am so grateful to have my family and for the Book of Mormon. I know that it contains true words of God. I love BYU and know that I have strengthened my testimony while being here. I love to see that temple, and I know that being in the Lords house will bless me. I know that one day I will go there.

Mans Best Friend

So I would like to dedicate this post to my lovely dog Sammie. Everyone thinks that I am an animal lover, but really I am just in love with my dog. You know the quote that says dogs are "mans best friends". I believe it is true. I don't know how I would have survived my teenage years without Sammie there everyday. No matter how bad your day was, she would be wagging her tail and "grinning" every time we walked into the door. She is a joy in our family, and definitely an important part of my life.

Christmas 2010- Love you Sammie!

.CINDERELLA.

So tonight I am going to go see the Performance Cinderella at BYU. I am super excited.
It looks really good. Cinderella was always one of my favorite Disney movies, and of course The little Mermaid.
Did I mention that monday is valentines day? I like to think that Valentines day is overrated
someone told me its Single Awareness day, I think thats really funny. Maybe one day I will enjoy it lol.
As for now, I can just buy cute valentine cards and give them away to all my friends. I love doing that.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!

2011.

I love being in 2011. New year and new goals.
I am taking a snowboarding class this semester. I am always sore and cold.
Is it worth it?
Yes, it is my new passion. Maybe I will like winter now?

FALL

Well I realized I have not posted in a long time. School is very busy and hectic and trying to blog is hard! But I will fill you in with the last couple months.

*SEPTEMBER*

This month was full of adjustment to BYU Campus and my classes. I felt a little crazy some of the time!

This is a picture of my bedroom,  I just love my apartment and how close I am to campus! Provo is just gorgeous in the fall!

OCTOBER**
This was a busy month for me! I loved every minute of it. We had CANADIAN thanksgiving. It was extra special for me because my family came down to Provo. I wasn't able to get any holidays down here at school for Canadian thanksgiving...such a bummer! Then it was Halloween and my roommates and I went as 80 girls!

I was so happy that my parents and brother were able to come down to Provo. I love my family soo much and I was so happy that I got to spend some time with them for a weekend. =) Even SAMMIE came.

We got family photos done in October, and this is one of them.. Sammie looked so cute with her black bow! And yes..that smile was photoshopped in.

NOVEMBER*

Well I am shocked that November has already come and is almost over!! It has been another busy month for school. I have had midterms practically all month. I feel like the Professors especially like to pile tests and assignments on right before American Thanksgiving.

We had our final football game last weekend! My roommates and my friend Leslie all went! It was so fun. Then later that night, me and Leslie went to my friends Dance Performance at BYU. She did an amazing job.

L.O.V.E these two!

Well If you lasted through this long post, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
I have had a busy semester so far but I am enjoying every minute of it. I have learned that you especially need to be grateful for where you are in the present. I feel that sometimes, we just want to always look to the future, but we need to appreciate the little moments. Like waking up in the morning to your loud alarm or just walking through campus. I am thankful to be here at BYU right now, and all the experiences that I am learning and the friendships that I am making.

Till Next time-- xoxo
